Wow, such a great experience. First, the store is awesome. Great selection and quality brands. Next, the service was fantastic. Sheila and Alejandro helped me find exactly what I needed. After, they gladly even helped me fix the drawstring on my trekking backpack! Working for a company that thrives on excellent service to its customers…

Do you love a good outdoor/travel podcast as much as we do? This is one we loved this week - the Out & Back podcast (episode 31 - https://share.transistor.fm/s/4bb4f981 ) featuring Emily Ford —— We were lucky enough to learn about Emily and follow along during her journey on the Ice Age Trail. But this podcast made us love her (and Diggins!) even more.
— “Despite its name, Wisconsins 1,200 mile Ice Age Trail mostly attracts thru-hikers during summer. But for professional gardener Emily Ford, a winter thru-hike aligned better with her schedule. So Emily and an Alaskan husky named Diggins post-holed through knee-deep snow and watched their breath turn to ice in their tent. Emily drank cream by the carton, and boiled snow for water. After 69 days on the trail, she became just the second person, and the first woman, to thru-hike the Ice Age Trail during the dead of winter. She also formed an unbreakable bond with her four-legged companion. Tune in to find out how (and why) Emily took on this midwestern beast during the dead of winter.”
Did you know Italy 🇮🇹 has mountains 🏔 this beautiful? One more memory of the fantastic trip to the Italian Dolomites - photo credit and fun credit to Ripple Adventures.
Part 2! We had an unusual snowstorm for that time of year and on September 8 woke up to this! The snow made it unsafe to descend on foot. If you look closely in one of the photos you can see the tiny houses in the valley way below the mountain. — One of the incredible women in our group worked with the owners of the refugio (mountain hut/inn) and arranged for us to helicopter out so we weren’t stuck on the mountain until the snow thawed. Who knew when that would be! We had a beautiful and successful helicopter ride out. I’ll post a video of that soon. Dolomites 2019.
2 years ago on this day I was with an incredible group of women (and one cool guy) hiking in the Dolomite mountains 🏔 in Italy. Missing this kind of travel so much. What happened that night and the next day was totally unexpected and changed the adventure quite a bit! Stay tuned for that part of the story. Thanks Ripple Adventures for an adventure of a lifetime. #hikingisthebest #womenrule
